ROCHESTER STEEL TREATING WORKS TO CONTINUE SPONSORSHIP OF MIKE LEATY


 
Williamson, New York: Rochester Steel Treating Works (RSTW) and 2007 Spencer Speedway Modified Champion Mike Leaty’s MPL Motorsports will continue their championship partnership in the 2008 racing season.

“We are extremely happy to have Rochester Steel Treating Works back on board as a member of our family of sponsors. We have partnered with RSTW since 2002 and our relationship has grown throughout the years. The entire #25 Modified Team is looking forward to working with the great people at RSTW during this upcoming season”, stated Mike Leaty, driver and team owner of the #25 MPL Motorsports Team.

Gene Miller from RSTW commented, “For 2008 the company looks forward to another great season with MPL Motorsports and the entire Leaty family.”

The 2008 schedule for the team includes appearances at numerous local tracks including Spencer Speedway, Wyoming County International Speedway , Dunn Tire Raceway Park, Oswego Speedway and Chemung Speedrome. The #25 Modified will be participating in a number of Race of Champions Modified Tour shows and Whelen Modified Tour races as well.

RSTW is located in Rochester , New York and offers an extensive variety of heat treating capabilities and services. RSTW Inc. has a long history of motor sports involvement including Trans-AM, SCCA, the former NASCAR Busch North and the former NASCAR Winston Cup Series. Their cars have participated in the 24 hours of Daytona, the 12 hours of Sebring and the 6 hours of Watkins Glen. Drivers that have raced under the RSTW Inc. banner include Brett Bodine, Brian Simo, Andy Santerre, Tom Carey, Jr. and Jerry Marquis. In 2008, the Wittenberg University logo will once again be prominently displayed on the MPL Motorsports car. This is thanks to the efforts of Gene Miller, Wittenberg class of 1965. The Wittenberg logo has joined RSTW for over 100 NASCAR events since 1997. However, Wittenberg University does not provide financial support for the car or its team.
