HOLLAND NASCAR MOTORSPORTS COMPLEX RELEASES 2009 SCHEDULE
Holland, NY: The Holland NASCAR Motorsports Complex has released the schedule of motorsports events for the upcoming 2009 racing season.
The Western New York oval’s 50th Anniversary Season slate will consist of 17 events, with the NASCAR RagingWolf.com SST Pro Modifieds highlighting the weekly slate. Other divisions in weekly competition will include the Late Models of Tomorrow (LAMOT), Chargers, Pro Fours, and the M&M U-Pull-It Figure 8 Cars. The Thiel Motorsports 4-cylinder Hornets and Queen Bees will each appear on ten occasions, while there will be special appearances by the INEX Legends, Casey’s TQ Midget Series, and Cup Lites Series.
On track activities will get underway with an open practice session on Saturday, May 16th, beginning at 1:00. The following weekend, Holland will green flag the season with a Memorial Day weekend doubleheader, with the Casey’s TQ Midget Series joining the five weekly divisio
ns on Saturday, May 23rd, and the Thiel Motorsports Hornets, Queen Bees, and INEX Legends launching their campaigns on Monday, May 25th. The Monday event will also feature the annual Faster Pastor race, along with a $1000 to win 8-cylinder Enduro.
As always, two signature events of the Holland schedule will highlight the calendar. On Saturday, July 18th, the NASCAR RagingWolf.com SST Pro Modifieds will be featured in the George Decker Memorial 100, while the open Late Models will pay a visit for the annual Budweiser 100 on Saturday, August 29th.
A special 50th anniversary party will be part of the festivities on Saturday, August 1st, with some top drivers from Holland’s racing past on hand for the day - the LAMOT Late Models will also be featured in a 50 lap special that evening.
Other notable events will include Twin 30 lap features for the NASCAR RagingWolf.com SST Pro Modifieds on Saturday, June 20th, a 50 lap LAMOT special on Saturday, June 27th, a 50 lap run for the Chargers on Saturday, July 11th, the annual Debbie Graff Memorial for the Cup Lites Series on Saturday, August 8th, and the all divisional season championships on Saturday, September 5th.
Crash-A-Rama fans will get their fill of action again, as two rounds of the “Wildest Show on Wheels” will take place - the first on Saturday, June 6th, and the second to round out the ‘09 season on Saturday, September 12th.
Racing will usually get underway at 7:15 pm. The events of July 18th, August 29th, and September 5th will have an earlier start time of 6:00 pm, while the Crash-A-Rama events will start at 6:30 pm.
